# Payouts

Send funds directly to a Tanzanian mobile money wallet. Payouts leave the merchant wallet the moment they are confirmed.

## Parameters

| `amount`                         | integer | Yes      | Amount in TZS — **whole numbers only**            |
| `currency`                       | string  | No       | Always `TZS`                                      |
| `destinationType`                | string  | Yes      | Always `mobile_money`                             |
| `destinationDetails.phoneNumber` | string  | Yes      | `255XXXXXXXXX` format                             |
| `destinationDetails.network`     | string  | Yes      | `Mpesa`, `AirtelMoney`, `TigoPesa`, or `HaloPesa` |
| `destinationDetails.accountName` | string  | No       | Recipient name shown on confirmation              |

## Payout statuses

| Status           | Meaning                                    |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| `completed`      | Funds delivered to recipient               |
| `processing`     | Sent to operator, awaiting confirmation    |
| `failed`         | Delivery failed — funds returned to wallet |
| `pending_review` | Held for fraud review                      |

## Save payout destinations

Store recurring recipient details as payout methods to avoid re-entering details each time:
